We define Investment Clubs as investment structures that have not been the subject of a formal sales process to third parties. This generally means there is a relatively small group of investors who often know each other.
The resulting investment structure shares a great deal of similarity with a more formal collective investment or investment fund but might differ in a number of ways:
- Simpler (or no) regulation
- Simpler or more specific reporting
- Importance of governance and oversight to ensure fairness
- Inherent perceived conflicts of interest
Fund Corporation can administer all aspects of the investment structure from launch to disposal.
